2006 Dodge Magnum hid kits Review. Sharing platforms and powertrains with the Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger sedans, the Magnum strikes an inimitable pose with its wide track and sharply tapered roofline. A new top SRT8 model debuts for 2006 that slips station wagon performance into high gear with its 425-horsepower high-output 6.1-liter HEMI V-8 engine.
Mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox with manual-shift capability, the SRT-8 can jump from 0-to-60 mph in around five seconds. Suspension upgrades and larger 20-inch wheels and tires are also included. Elsewhere in the line, a fairly lackluster 190-horsepower 2.7-liter V-6 engine and four-speed automatic transmission remains the standard powertrain, while the mid-level SXT offers available all-wheel-drive includes a more powerful 250-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6, and adds features like four-wheel anti-lock brakes with brake assist, and traction- and stability control.
The R/T model is likewise available with AWD and packs a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 that generates 340 horsepower and is paired with a five-speed automatic gearbox. For 2006 it includes a standard tire-pressure monitor.
