While it might seem outrageous to consider someone racing through the crowded Detroit Auto Show in a
2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302, what better way to show off how awesome the new Boss is than letting the crowd hear a professional driver bang through gears; accelerating well past 100mph. To make the exhibition a bit safer, Ford had the orange and black 2012 Boss 302 strapped down to a Dynojet brand dynamometer; allowing the Ford test driver to perform a sort of virtual quarter mile pass in the warm confines of the Detroit Auto Show.

Ford originally offered this live action Mustang Boss 302 display at the LA Auto Show complete with a drag strip “Christmas tree” to complete the race track feel but at the Detroit Auto Show, Ford took the display one step further as they offered show-goers a chance to go along for a ride in this stationary Boss Mustang.
